It is important to avoid sun exposure before and after a Sciton BBL laser treatment. Your skin might experience a sunburn sensation, which usually goes away within a few hours of the treatment. The skin should be patted dry – don’t rub it harshly with a towel. Avoid hot water, strenuous exercise, and any other activities that promote sweating. Keep the skin moisturized using a healing ointment as recommended by your esthetician. The use of regular skincare products might need to be avoided for a few days after treatment. If you are experiencing discomfort, ice packs can be placed on the affected area for relief. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can also be used to manage the pain if needed.
